Sancho L\u00f3pez de Ot\u00e1lora, member of the Royal Council of King Charles V, completed several refurbishment and renovation works, adding a new residential structure to the original military structure.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/li><li id=\"story-id-20684-content\" data-date=\"story-id-20684\" class=\"ht-design-5\"><div class=\"timeline-post light-grey-post ht-content-design-5\"><div class=\"ctl_info event-description full\"><div class=\"full-width\"><img width=\"600\" height=\"350\" src=\"https:\/\/www.otalora.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/11\/h_reconstruccion.png\" class=\"story-img wp-post-image\" alt=\"1586\" decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" \/><\/a><\/div><div class=\"content-details\"><h2 class=\"content-title-simple\">1586<\/h2><p>Fire and reconstruction (1586-1762) In 1586, with the grandson of Sancho Lopez, Mr. Martin de Otalora, heading the family, the Casa-Torre and its library was destroyed by a fire. Upon concluding the renovation works, the building houses MONDRAGON&#8217;s Management and cooperative development activities.
